Chaturmasyavrata Sankalpa Mahotsavam to begin on July 19

Vijayawada: Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham is going to organise Vyasa Puja, Chaturmasyavrata Sankalpa Mahotsavam and 82nd birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Jayendra Saraswati Sankaracharya at Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Sri Chandramouleswara Swamy Varla temple in the city.

Speaking to the news reporters here at the temple on Sunday, chairman of Vijayawada Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Maganti Subramanyam said, “On the occasion of birth anniversary celebrations, the Peetham has come out to organise several programmes from July 19 to September 16 on the temple premises. Jayendra Saraswathi Swamy will take part in the event where Veda Sabha, Panchanga Sravanam, felicitations and recitations will take place.”

He further elaborated that after a daylong puja and Veda Sabha activities, cultural programmes designed and conceived by Kamakoti Peetham will be performed. Saints and Pundits from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and parts of Andhra Pradesh would be present for the events on the occasion.

Former mayor and member of the Kanchi Kamakoti Vijayawada Peetham Jandhyala Shankar, members S Prabhakara Rao and P Krishnaji were present.
