Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister urged every student to plant at least ten saplings. He informed that the students  planted 2.5 lakh saplings on Saturday. 

Amaravati: Minister for Agriculture Prathipati Pulla Rao along with Minister for Excise Kollu Ravindra launched a massive tree plantation drive in Chilakaluripet town on Saturday. They planted saplings at Chowdaraiah High School, Bypass Road in Chilakaluripet town, Pothavaram, Vankalapadu and Ganapavaram villages.

Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister urged every student to plant at least ten saplings. He informed that the students planted 2.5 lakh saplings on Saturday.

He said that five crore people in the State would plant 50 crore saplings. He stressed on the need to protect the saplings. He explained steps taken by the government for the development of greenery in the State. Minister Ravindra also spoke. Chilakaluripet Municipal Chairperson Chenchu Kumari, District Forest Officer K Ram Mohan and ohters were present.
