Two women died of diarrhoea at Peddapeta village in LN Peta mandal during the last two days. The deceased were identified as Jana Latchamma (55) and her married daughter Ramanamma (30). Latchamma died of diarrhoea on Saturday and her daughter on Sunday.

Latchamma's husband Guruvulu and five others of the same village are being treated at Government RIMS Hospital here.
Pathapatnam MLA K Venkata Ramana, DM&HO M Praveen and RDO B Dayanidhi rushed to the village. They expressed ire against local VRO, Panchayat Secretary and mandal PHC medical staff for the deterioration of the situation.
