​Kakinada: The ongoing Smart Pulse survey exercise in the district had been expedited, said Collector H Arun Kumar. He inspected the survey work at Sarpavaram village in Kakinada rural mandal on
Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that each enumerator in the district was able to collect data of 10 households per day against the target of 14 households. He said that data of 22,031 members of 8,118 households in rural areas and data of 6,136 members of 1,839 households in urban areas was collected so far.

The Collector said that offline survey will be allowed in Agency mandals, where internet facility is not available. Due to initial technical glitches, the last date for conducting survey would be extended by a week or 10 days, he added.

Kakinada rural mandal tahasildar J Simhadri said that data of 4,000 members in rural mandal had been collected so far.
Later, the Collector enquired about drinking water supply from the residents of Sarpavaram village. He suggested to the parents to admit their wards in government schools.

The locals complained to the Collector about land registration problems due to the presence of endowment lands adjacent to their lands. The Collector immediately instructed the tahasildar to sort out the issue.
