Vedadri village, which is famous for Vedadri Yogananda Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple on the banks of Krishna river is being spruced up for the Pushkaralu. The R&B department is developing the road at a cost of Rs 8.97 crore connecting bathing ghats to the national highway passing via villages. 

Vijayawada: The Krishna district administration has hastened the bathing ghats construction works and giving facelift to three historical temples in Jaggaiahpet mandal for Krishna Pushkaralu. The officials are developing the existing roads and connecting them with Vijayawada -Hyderabad national highway for the convenience of pilgrims who take holy dip in Krishna river.

Vedadri village, which is famous for Vedadri Yogananda Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple on the banks of Krishna river is being spruced up for the Pushkaralu. The R&B department is developing the road at a cost of Rs 8.97 crore connecting bathing ghats to the national highway passing via villages.

The irrigation department is developing the bathing ghats with Rs 2 crore. Ravirala village, which is famous for Anjaneya Swamy temple on the banks of Krishna river is getting a facelift. Road repairing works are going on at a brisk pace and lighting facility is being arranged at the bathing ghats. Panchayat Raj department is developing the roads at a cost of Rs 40 lakh in Ravirala village.

The endowment department is decorating Muktheswara Swamy temple located in Muktyala village in Jaggaiahpet mandal. The Muktyala is one of the famous villages in Krishna district. It is estimated that one lakh pilgrims may take bath during the Pushkaralu every day. The existing road connecting Muktyala and Jaggaiahpet is being developed at a cost of Rs 4.99 crore.

Similarly, bathing ghat in Ibrahimpatnam mandal is also being developed by the district administration. The irrigation department is constructing the ghats while SPDCL is arranging lighting facility. The R&B and Panchayat Raj departments are developing the roads for the convenience of pilgrims who turn up for the holy dip in the Krishna to mark the Pushkaralu next month.
