Polavaram Executive Engineer suspended for failure to attend meet
He said the absence of the EE at the meeting, shows his negligence and added that he would submit a report to the State government on the latter’s suspension on disciplinary grounds. The Collector asked Gayatri Agency, the contract agency of Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation Scheme to submit designs of the main canal within 15 days and warned of terminating the contract if it fails to do so.
Eluru: Collector K Bhaskar suspended Executive Engineer of Polavaram Head works for skipping the review meet held at the Collectorate here on Saturday.The Collector while reviewing the progress of land acquisition for Polavaram project, expressed displeasure at EE of Polavaram Project Headworks of Jangareddigudem, Munireddy, for skipping the review meeting. The Collector said the EE was entrusted with the task of acquiring land in 24 villages of Kukunuru and Velairpadu mandals.
He said the absence of the EE at the meeting, shows his negligence and added that he would submit a report to the State government on the latter’s suspension on disciplinary grounds. The Collector directed the officials to complete land acquisition for delta modernisation works in Nandamuru and Arulla villages. He directed R&B SE to identify alternative roads to regulate traffic in Eluru, Bhimavaram, Tadepalligudem, Narsapuram and Tanuku.
Joint Collectors K Koteswara Rao and M H Sheriff, Special Collector, Land Acquisition, Bhanu Prasad, DRO K Prabhakar Rao, Narsapuram Sub-Collector A S Dinesh Kumar, ITDA project officer Shan Mohan and other officials were present.
