Take up canal repair works to check water wastage: MLA.

Pithapuram (East Godavari): MLA S V S N Varma inspected Yeleru ayacut in his Assembly constituency on Sunday.
He directed the irrigation officials to take up repair works of canals on a priority basis to prevent wastage of precious water.

The MLA also urged the Irrigation officials to provide water from Pushkara Lift Irrigation Scheme to Yeleru ayacut to safeguard the interests of farmers.
Yeleru project vice-chairman Reddem Bhaskara Rao, Agricultural Marketing Committee chairman Medisetti Veerabhadra Rao, Agricultural Technology Management Agency chairman Y Raja Rao and local TDP leaders accompanied the MLA during his visit to the ayacut.
