Rooms on rent for devotees only after verification:Superintendent of Police
The SP and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Ravi Prakash have visited the Srisailam on Tuesday. They have trekked for 6 kilometres and inspected the ongoing repair works of Krishna Pushkaralu. He directed the officials to complete every work within the stipulated time. None of the devotees should face hurdles due to lack of facilities while taking holy dip, he added.
Kurnool: District Superintendent of Police (SP) Ake Ravi Krishna advised the lodge owners to collect photostat copies of Aadhaar, ration and other relevant documents issued by the State or Central governments from devotees as a precautionary measure before renting out rooms to them for the ensuing Krishna Pushkaralu.
He stated that large number of devotees from Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring States are expected to take holy dip during Krishna Pushkaralu.

The SP asked the lodge owners to keep an eye on anti-social elements, who try to create disturbance during Pushkaralu. Special teams have been formed under the supervision of OSD Ravi Prakash, he said. The SP stated that teams have carried out searches at Sunnipenta and Srisailam and combing operations in Nallamalla forest.
Ravi Krishna directed police personnel to create WhatsApp group in their mobiles through which information could be passed on instantly to the higher officials. He urged the people to bring to the notice of the police about any suspicious activity by dialing 100. Atmakur DSP Supraja and other police officials were present.
