Former Congress MP Undavalli Arunkumar on Saturday lashed out at the Centre and questioned the reason behind not according to the special status mandated by the previous Congress-led government for the state.
He further said that the special status would bring in many benefits for the Andhras, hence they were demanding the promised constitutional provision.
Arunkumar further demanded the Centre to reason out for denying the special status and even questioned Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for not questioning the Centre in this regard.
Also, he further alleged that the Polavaram project that was mandated in the AP Reorganisation Act is under the scanner to be scrapped but the project would save 2000 tmc of water going into the sea.
