Nellore: Mayor Abdul Aziz laid foundation stone for construction of permanent toilets at Bara Shaheed dargah on Saturday. It was proposed to construct 120 toilets on the dargah premises with Rs 84 lakh as part of plans to make the city clean. The Mayor said Roti fest is coming up in second week of October this year and hence proposed to construct the toilets.

He said devotees were preferring open defecation for last two years and mobile toilets were being used during the occasion. They were also spending Rs 16 to 20 lakh every year for mobile toilets. He said officials will complete construction works by October 2.
