Rajamahendravaram: Honouring freedom fighters is akin to honouring the country and that was the reason why the party was honoring freedom fighters as part of its Tiranga Yatra, said Rajamahendravaram City MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana Addressing a huge gathering at Anam Rotary Hall after participating in the Tiranga Yatra which was marked by a scooter rally, on Saturday, the MLA said that the Tiranga Yatra was taken up at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah, to reinforce patriotism, unity and integrity.
On the occasion, the MLA felicitated Krovvidi Satyanarayana couple, Krovvidi Gopal Rao, son of Krovvidi Lingaraju, Kusuma Sujatha Kumari, daughter of Kusuma Naganna, ‘Keerthi Chakra’ Pandillapalli Srinivas’s mother, sons of Budhavarapu Suryanarayana and others.
The MLA had earlier felicitated Mullapudi Satyanarayana on August 15. BJP leaders Kshatriya Balasubrahmanyam, Vasamsetti Gangadhar, LB Sastry, Ashok Kumar Jain, V Shankar, Yeluru Karthik and others participated in the Tiranga Yatra.
