Accident victims visited
Of the 12 injured, three were discharged on Tuesday and the remaining are undergoing treatment at KGGH. The Collector directed the hospital superintendent Y Nageswara Rao to ensure best medical care to the injured.
Kakinada: East Godavari District Collector H Arun Kumar and Kakinada city MLA V Venkateswara Rao visited the injured in the bus accident at Nayakangudem in Khammam district on Tuesday at KGGH. Twelve persons sustained injuries and three died in the accident that occurred on early hours of Monday at Nayakangudem when the bus plunged in to canal at the place. The bus was on its way to Kakinada from Hyderabad.

The AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced an ex gratia of Rs 3 lakh each to the families of the deceased. The injured that were undergoing treatment at Khammam hospital on Monday were shifted to Kakinada government general hospital late on Monday night. The District Collector thanked the Khammam district authorities for providing immediate medical aid for the injured.
