Visakhapatnam: Sub-Collector and in-charge Project Officer of ITDA Paderu Siva Sankar Lotheti visited Sarapalli hamlet, the Maoist-dominated Agency area under the limits of Boithili panchayats in G Madugula mandal on Saturday and interacted with villagers.

Later, Siva Sankar inaugurated the gravity water scheme and Mini-Aganwadi Centre which was built with a cost of Rs 9 lakh. When the villagers complained to the Project Officer that they were not getting monthly ration properly through ration depots, he directed tahsildar Padi Pantulu to initiate necessary steps.

The villagers appealed to the in-charge Project Officer to set up a primary school. He also visited the Boithili Tribal Ashram School where he inspected the on going works of a dining hall, kitchen shed and toilets with a cost of Rs 30 lakh.

He asked the officials to complete the work by one week and directed the tribal welfare officials to focus on the health condition of hostel inmates and school children. Officials O Padmaja, Jagadeesh, Vamsi, Jabbar, Prasad and others were also present.
