TD takes potshots at Opposition Kapu leaders
Local MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary has said people who were least bothered about the Kapu community were now taking to streets. He said leaders like Botcha Satyanarayana, Ambati Rambabu, Dasari Narayana Rao, K Chiranjeevi, M M Pallam Raju and Mudragada Padmanabham were fighting for the cause of Kapus only to prove their existence.

He said leaders like Botcha Satyanarayana, Ambati Rambabu, Dasari Narayana Rao, K Chiranjeevi, M M Pallam Raju and Mudragada Padmanabham were fighting for the cause of Kapus only to prove their existence.
Speaking to media here on Thursday, Gorantla advised the Kapu community not to fall into the trap laid by these leaders. He explained that the TDP by understanding the problems of Kapu community, promised to allocate Rs 1,000 crore for Kapu Welfare Corporation each year.
Stating that Kapus irrespective of party affiliations were availing loans, the MLA said the State government constituted Manjunatha Commission to provide reservation for Kapus. Taking a dig at Mudragada for shooting off missives to the State government questioning his commitment towards inclusion of Kapus in BC list, he wondered why the Kapu leader had not written any letters in the last 10 years.
The MLA wondered why Kapu leaders did not give ultimatum to the then Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the past. He said the State government was taking all steps for the welfare of Kapu community. He found fault with Kapu leaders for making baseless charges against the Chief Minister.
