Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to bid adieu to the state Assembly building in the common capital of Hyderabad. The next session would be held in Andhra Pradesh, according to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu, who has 38 years of association with the Assembly building here, became nostalgic and went round the premises recalling some of the historic moments he had experienced there.

Naidu first entered the Assembly in 1978 at an age of 28 as the Cinematography Minister. He was Congress MLA at that time. He got married to Bhuvaneshwari, daughter of N T Rama Rao, when he was a minister in the Congress government.

Remembering his association with NTR, he said he had attended a series of meetings that were chaired by NTR in the Assembly premises.

Later he was the Chief Minister for nine years and the leader of Opposition for 10 years in the undivided Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu said he had some very good memories of his 38 years of association with the Assembly and some bitter moments as well. At one point of time, he became emotional and wiped his eyes as he said the next session of the Assembly would be held at Amaravati.
