Amaravati: The State police department for the first time used modern technology like bio-metric system, Radio Frequency Identification Device(RDIF) for selection of Sub-Inspector of Police (Communication), ASIs (Finger Prints), held on Thursday in the 6th battalion.

The Director General of Police N Sambasiva Rao supervised the physical examination tests. Addressing a press meet held in the 6th battalion premises, N Sambasiva Rao said that they have introduced bio-metric system to check irregularities and introduced RFID system to calculate the actual time taken by a candidate to run 1.6 km-run and said that it was useful even to the participants.

He said they have introduced new machines to check irregularities in the height measurements of the candidates.

The DGP further said that as soon as a candidate was qualified in the physical examination tests, he would be given a letter immediately and similarly, if the candidate was disqualified, he would also be given a letter stating the same, he said.

He said the new system would be useful to the constables’ selection to be held soon and watched running and physical examination tests.

A P Police Recruitment Board chairman Atul Singh said the new technology would be an advantage to the
candidates appearing for the recruitment.
