Durga temple trust, TTD exchange lands
Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanams and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanms (TTD) exchanged their lands for the convenience of Durga temple parking in the city.
Vijayawada: Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanams and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanms (TTD) exchanged their lands for the convenience of Durga temple parking in the city.
As per the agreement, the Durga temple authorities will take over the land near Kummaripalem to provide parking place.
Meanwhile, TTD Executive Officer (EO) D Sambasiva Rao agreed to give 2.10 acre in RS No 123 at Kummaripalem centre. In exchange, the TTD will take 2.10 acre in RS No 167, 169 belonging to Durga temple at Gudavalli near Vijayawada.
Land near Kummaripalem will be useful for Durga temple to resolve parking woes and operate temple buses up to Indrakeeladri hill.
Durga temple EO A Surya Kumari sent proposals to the government stating that the temple would like to operate designer buses on the lines of Tirumala.
Durga temple is poised for rapid growth and spending Rs 100 crore for various projects.
