Vijayawada: Nagula Chavithi was celebrated in the city and Krishna district with religious fervour on Thursday. A large number of devotees thronged Chodavaram putta in Penamalur mandal near Vijayawada and different places in the city.
Chodavaram putta is popular in the district. Chodavaram Nagendra Swamy temple authorities made elaborate arrangements to the devotees. They arranged queue lines to the devotees for offering milk. Subrahmanyeswara Swamy temple located at Mopidevi witnessed a large number of devotees and offered milk.
