Kurnool: Iskcon Project Director and Vice President Rupeshwar Chaitanya Das said the Sree Jagannatha Ratha Yathra Mahotsavams would be organised from January 1to January 8, 2017.
These Mahotsavams would be celebrated in 150 countries across the globe, he stated.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Rupeshwar said this is the third Ratha Yathra that would be organised in Kurnool.
Devotees from India, America, Russia and Malaysia would be participating in the Mahotsavam and many programmes depicting the cultural heritage of the nation would be presented on January 7.
On Vaikunta Ekadasi, the Uttara Dwaram of the temple would be decorated with special flowers, he stated.
Nearly 2,000 volunteers would be taking part in the programme.
Mangala Harathi would be given to Lord Jagannatha every morning and Iskcon was planning a school at Veldurthy that would cut across caste and community lines, said Rupeshwar.
He appealed to the public to take part in the event in a big way.
