The Kakinada police on Thursday made preventive arrests in connections with protest demonstrations for Special Category Status (SCS)
Kakinada: The Kakinada police on Thursday made preventive arrests in connections with protest demonstrations for Special Category Status (SCS) to the State. Around 20 students of JNTU-K were arrested by Sarpavaram police near D- Mart area in the town.
The students who started in a rally from JNTU-K premises were intercepted by police. They raised slogans demanding SCS to the State and denounced the TDP government for its failure in bringing SCS from the Centre.
