Quality education need of the hour :Dr C Rangarajan
The Institute for Financial Management & Research (IFMR) held convocation in its Sri City campus on Saturday. Former Reserve Bank of India Governor Dr C Rangarajan, who was the chief guest, has delivered the convocation address. Addressing the graduating students, Rangarajan said that the importance of higher education in building up a nation is well recognised today.
Tirupati: The Institute for Financial Management & Research (IFMR) held convocation in its Sri City campus on Saturday. Former Reserve Bank of India Governor Dr C Rangarajan, who was the chief guest, has delivered the convocation address. Addressing the graduating students, Rangarajan said that the importance of higher education in building up a nation is well recognised today.

It is the institutions like IFMR come in and play a crucial role. IFMR Chairman Dr N Vaghul wished the graduates to step forward towards their career growth.
Rangarajan gave away awards to students, who had demonstrated academic prowess, leadership skills and all-round excellence through the year. Awards were presented to distinguish alumni from various batches and programmes. 179 PGDM (full-time) students and 2 PhD scholars were awarded the graduation certificates. Dr C V Krishnan, Prof P K Biswas and Prof T N Srinivasan and students were present.
