SI, 7 others held for gambling
Police arrested a Deputy Engineer of Panchayati raj department and a Sub Inspector along with six others at Borrampalem village in T.Narsapuram Mandal of West Godavari district, while they were playing cards on Friday.According to police, on information, T Narsapuram SI K Nagendra Babu along with his personnel attacked a house in Borrampalem village of the mandal after midnight of Thursday.

The police found a Sub Inspector (CCS) of Vijayawada Pola Ramakrishna, who is native of Jangareddigudem and Polavarapu Srinivas, Deputy Engineer of Panchayati raj, Mandavalli in Krishna District, a native of Vidyanagar in Eluru City along with six others indulging in gambling. The police immediately took all the eight persons including SI and DE and organiser Kothapalli Prakash Raju into their custody. They seized Rs.71,800 and five mobiles from them. A case has been registered under AP Gambling Act. The accused were arrested, SI said.
