New Delhi: Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapati Raju's personal opinion on the presidential candidate is that the person must be "someone like Abdul Kalam".
Replying to a question during an interview to NDTV on Friday evening, Raju said that "Presidential position is a responsibility. As an Indian citizen... I would like... someone like Abdul Kalam. We would vote for him. NDA will decide on it and elect the next Rashtrapati anyway".
This anyway was his personal opinion and not his party's. His party leader and chief minister n Chandrababu Naidu has not opened up so far on this issue though he had a meeting with the BJP national president Amit shaw the other day in Amaravati.
