Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu requested the people to bless and join hands with the government by participating in Navanirmaana Deeksha on June 2 and Mahasankalpam on June 8. Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, he asked the public to take oath at 10 am wherever they were, even if they were travelling. Similarly, the Mahasankalpam would be conducted at 5 pm.

‘The people should recall that injustice was done to the state due to bifurcation’ he said and asked the people to rededicate themselves to progress. He regretted that no state in the country lost its capital city several times, like Andhra Pradesh. ‘Even when the state government has registered double digit growth still it stands as backward when compared to other southern states in per capital income’ he said.

The CM said the government could get liabilities only without capital city. Reacting to a question, he said several countries got progress by facing injustice with dedication and with Mahasankalpam. There is no political motive behind the programmes he said and added that the government’s aim is to maintain the determination towards progress by recalling the injustice. He wondered how the state bifurcation was done on Sonia’s birthday.

Reacting to a question about AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi’s visit and participation in the programme, he said the Congress was the reason for the whole situation.Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed the officials to construct 1.5 lakh houses in the next 15 months’ time. Participating in a review meeting with officials, he asked the officials to construct the houses in the 37 municipalities in the state. The tender process has been finalised he said and added that 20 per cent of the work should be completed every month from February.
