Vijayawada: AP Mahila Congress president Sunkara Padmasri filed a complaint with city police commissioner on Wednesday seeking protection from Gannavaram MLA (TDP) Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan.Padmasri said that she was facing threat from the TDP MLA who had got a “false” SC, ST Atrocity case against her through his henchman. “The MLA, along his followers, tore Congress flexis in Gannavaram during Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Guntur.
They also filed false cases against me for questioning them on the wrong doing,” she said.She also said the followers of MLA had burnt her effigy and abused her. “The MLA is doing this as per the directions of TDP leadership as part of a plot to harass Congress leaders and cadre who are fighting for Special Category Status for the state,” she alleged.
