Four arrested for attempted homicide
Police arrested two persons and two minors on charges of attempted homicide. Eluru DSP Gogula Venkateswara Rao told media on Saturday that Bandi Rambabu (45) had 40 cents land in Vanguru village in Pedavegi mandal. He had a dispute over the same with Murala Nagababu family.

Nagababu’s father Nageswara Rao alias Uka Raju has asked Nagababu to give the 40 cents land in Vanguru to set up the brick kiln. Rejecting his request, Rambabu has started the brick making on his land. With this irate Nageswara Rao and others clashed with Bandi Rambabu.
Later on June 6, Rambabu and his brother’s son Babu Rao (30) reached Eluru to meet MLA Badeti Kota Ramarao. However, as MLA was not in the town, they tried to return to their village. When they reached nearer to Old Bus Stand, Nagababu, Sitaramaiah and two minors attacked Rambabu and Babu Rao left them in pool of blood.
The police arrested Naga Babu, Sitaramaiah and two minors.
