International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) is making elaborate arrangements for Krishnastami festival to be held from August 7 to August 16.

Rajamahendravaram: International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) is making elaborate arrangements for Krishnastami festival to be held from August 7 to August 16.

Speaking to media at Iskcon temple here on Saturday, temple chief Satya Gopinadh said Maha Kumbhabhishekam will be performed to Jagannadha Baladeva Subhadradevi on August 7, followed by other programmes.

Krishnastami will be celebrated on August 15 in a grand manner and as part of it, the main fete 'utti utsavam' conducted at 3 pm followed by Anantha Sesha Vahana Seva.

Later in the night, Maha Kumbhabhishekam be performed to main deities Radha Gopinadh along with abhishekam with flower petals.

Meanwhile, various vahana sevas such as Pallaki Seva on August 7-8 and Chandra Prabha Vahana Seva on August 9, Surya Prabha Vahana Seva on August 10, Aswa Vahana Seva on August 11, Gaja Vahana Seva on August 12,

Hanumath Vahana Seva on August 13 Garuda Vahana Seva on August 14 and Anantha Sesha Vahana Seva will be held on August 15 as part of the celestial fete. Devotees allowed for darshan from 7 am to 9 pm every day. Satya Gopinadh appealed to the people to participate in the programmes in large number and make it a grand success.
