Retired bank employees seek revision of pension
The members of Andhra Bank Retired Employees Association of Tirupati have met MP V Vara Prasad here on Wednesday, and submitted a memorandum urging him to resolve their long pending issues. They were demanding the revision of pension on par with retired employees of the central government and public-sector undertakings.

They were demanding the revision of pension on par with retired employees of the central government and public-sector undertakings.

They sought increase in family pension from 15 per cent to 30 per cent and 100 per cent DA to pensioners. They were also demanding that the central government should set up proper and effective grievance redressal mechanism for pensioners. The MP assured them that he will take up the matter with the Indian Banks’ Association and Finance Ministry said the EC member of association, GS Prasad in a press release.
