City Commissioner of Police D Gautam Sawang has released a book on Ghantasala Buddhist Shrine authored by Dr Eemani Siva Nagi Reddy, CEO of Cultural Centre of Vijayawada & Amaravati.
In 1894, the then Archeology Department Official R Alexander wrote a report on excavations at the Buddhist Stupa. The report was now translated into Telugu and it was published by State department of tourism, according to Reddy. Malakshmi Properties CEO Sandeep Mandava also participated.
