The State government has begun efforts to shift film industry which was settledin Hyderabad to state capital Amaravati soon. To woo the producers those who shoot low-budget Telugu films in the Andhra Pradesh, the Stategovernment decided to give huge subsidies.
Vijayawada: The State government has begun efforts to shift film industry which was settledin Hyderabad to state capital Amaravati soon. To woo the producers those who shoot low-budget Telugu films in the Andhra Pradesh, the Stategovernment decided to give huge subsidies.
Andhra Pradesh FilmDevelopment Corporation Chairman Ambika Krishna began an exercise on how to give subsidies to thelow-budget Telugu films to be made in the State and he will submitproposals to the government soon. As soon as, the proposals are submittedto the government, Chief Minister NChandrababu Naidu will take a decision. At present,the low-budget Telugu films areproduced in Hyderabad.
If the government givesmore subsidies tolow-budgetfilms, the film industry will slowly shifted to Amaravati. Ambika Krishna is also discussing with the MLA and actor NandamuriBalakrishna and taking hissuggestions and preparing proposals to give subsidies to theTelugu films because every year on an average more than 100 low-budget.
Telugu films are releasing in the state and providing livelihood tovarious wings in film industry. In addition to this, toencourage the producers,the state government has decided to set up a ‘Dubbing Studio’ in Amaravati surrounding areas at a cost of Rs 1 crore.
After completion of film shooting, dubbing, re-recording, editing,(post-production) work will be done in the dubbing studios. If dubbingstudio is set up in Amaravati, the government is expecting that more Telugu films will be shot in the state.
The government is yet to take a decision on whether AP Film Development Corporation will setup dubbing theater or it will give subsidy to those who set up dubbing theater. Due to technical revolution, all the equipment for dubbingstudio is available at low-cost.
