Anantapur: Pradesh Congress Committee(Committee (PCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy castigated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for wasting people's money on his tours abroad for attracting investments to the state.
- Says in spite of Naidu’s several tours abroad the state has not received much investment
- Demands supply of water to HLC ayacut farmers for 120 days as district received good rains
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Raghuveera Reddy said that despite his several foreign tours no investments worth mentioning had come to the state.
Had the Chief Minister worked for the special category status, investments would have automatically poured in, he maintained. Nothing worthwhile had materialised after the industrial summit in Visakhapatnam, he said.
The PCC chief said that since Ananatapur district received good rains, the government should give water to HLC ayacut farmers continuously for 120 days. Also, water should be given for drinking water projects and then water be diverted to all village tanks.
He demanded that the government extend input subsidy, crop insurance and payment of all NREGS wages dues immediately to the farm labourers who were not paid wages for several months. He also sought supply of seeds and fertilizers on 50 per cent subsidy.
Raghuveera Reddy asked the government implement GO 124 facilitating upgradation of hospital bed strength in Government General Hospital in Anantapur. The TDP government was offering meaningless excuses by stating that the GO was issued during the undivided AP state. The GO must be implemented to improve precarious conditions in the GGH.
He also demanded that the TDP government react on allegations being made by TTDP leader A Revanth Reddy on the relations between the Telangana Chief Minister and the ministers in Naidu Cabinet. Congress spokesperson Ramana was also present.
