It may be recalled that Chandrababu Naidu was suggested by his Cabinet colleagues to rope in the ace director to design Amaravati city a month ago.  

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu approved one designs of all the three that were proposed by ace director SS Rajamouli for government buildings of capital city Amaravati. It may be recalled that Chandrababu Naidu was suggested by his Cabinet colleagues to rope in the ace director to design Amaravati city a month ago.

On Wednesday, the Chief Minister discussed about the two designs pertaining to Assembly and other buildings with the Ministers during a meeting convened at his Camp Office here in the city. It is learnt that Rajamouli proposed designs reflecting Telugu culture and heritage. However, the Chief Minister Naidu showed more interest on modern design proposed by British Architects. The AP CM along with the Minister unanimously okayed a tower design. This design is going to be the media city. The Chief Minister would announce the designs on Thursdayofficially.

Speaking to media persons, Rajamouli said that he tried his bid to contribute to Amarvati city as suggested by the Chief Minister. "Only one design was okayed by the him. I was also asked to make changes in the designs," he said.
