Bumper prizes to woo citizens in Visakha Utsav

Visakhapatnam: To attract massive crowds to three-day mega tourism and cultural festival (December 28 - 30) on East Coast of India, “Visakha Utsav,” first time the organising committee announced handful of bumper prizes in the utsav. The bumper prizes including foreign tours, Maruthi cars, Royal Enfield bullet motorcycles, gold, iPhones and dress materials.

The prize winners will be announced through lucky draw. The visitors must drop their coupons in the boxes to be arranged at the main venue. On every day, in the three-day utsav, one Royal Enfield Bullet, foreign tour tickets, 25 gms of gold, one iPhone and Rs 20,000 worth of dress materials will be presented to the lucky draw winners. On the conclusion day, one Maruthi car will be presented to the bumper prize winner.

The lucky draw will be opened at the main venue and the visitor along with his coupon must attend. The winners must also submit their Aadhaar card for the prizes. The car and motorcycle winners should bare the registration and other expenditure.

The district administration has been making elaborate arrangements for the utsav on the entire beach front covering 3 kms. The cultural programmes will be started from 4 pm and continue till 10 pm. As part of the inaugural programmes, a carnival will be organised.

According to collector Pravin Kumar, over 10,000 college and school students would present in the carnival from YMCA to RK Beach. The international standard flower show at VUDA park, Jathara celebrations near Novotel hotel ad 100 mtr car rally are a few among several other attractions in the utsav, the collector added.

As part of utsav, the organisers decided to conduct boxing, body building, beach football, gymnastics and yoga competitions. The lucky draw winners will be given 10 tickets of heli-tourism free entry tickets. Per each ticket 4 persons will be allowed in the trip. The total worth of prizes is Rs 25 lakh, the collector added.
