Speaking at the bankers meeting here, the collector asked the bankers to sanction loans to all the approved units and cheques must he handed over to the beneficiaries by January 11.

He said the bank’s district-level managements should cooperate in ensuring to ground all the government sanctioned units. The collector said the district administration has already deposited the subsidy amount of Rs 110.45 crore for 14,605 units. The SC,ST,BC, Kapu, Minorities and Christian corporations have sanctioned various units benefiting the unemployed youth.

Talking about the bank-wise targets, Pravin Kumar said that SBI must sanction loans for 5,107 units, Andhra Bank for 1,892 units, Indian Bank for 1,059 units and Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank is supposed to sanction loans for 1,557 units.

In the present fiscal, all the welfare corporations have targeted to ground 18,063 units in the district. However, 10,857 units only sanctioned so far. Out of 10,857 sanctioned units, 4,138 units are pending with the bankers and 3,068 are pending with the mandal-level officials. The collector urged the bankers to sanction loans to all the pending applicants.
