The district officials have made elaborate arrangements to conduct the JanmaBhoomi-MaaVooru programme starting from January 2 to 11 in West Godavari.
Eluru: The district officials have made elaborate arrangements to conduct the JanmaBhoomi-MaaVooru programme starting from January 2 to 11 in West Godavari. The officials have concentrated on conducting the meetings at village-level to deal with the problems faced by public. Minister for labour and employment Pitani Satyanarayana will participate in the 5th phase of JanmaBhoomi-MaaVooru programme on January 2 at Tanukumunicipality.
He will reach Dongaravipalem and participate in JanmaBhoomi meeting. Later he will participate in JanmaBhoomi at Sidhantham and Ramannapalem village in Penugondamandal. He will participate in the village meetings of JanmaBhoomiat S Illindalaparru, Mallipudi andJuttiga villages in the evening.
The officials may face problems to conduct the JanmaBhoomi village meetings as several people are waiting for sanction of houses and white ration cards. They may face tough weather in delta area particularly in Tundurru, Jonnalagaruvu, KamsaliBethapudi villages near Bhimavaram as the villagers are on the agitation path against the construction of Godavari Mega Aqua Food Park in Tundurru.
In view of the prevailing situation, the officials decided to conduct meetings with police security in those villages, it is learnt. During 4th phase of JanmaBhoomi that conducted last year, MLAs PulapartiRamanjaneyulu (Bhimavaram) and Bandaru Madhava Naidu (Narsapuram) faced protest from these villages over the food park issue.
Meanwhile, Collector K Bhaskar has appointed special officers to Eluru Municipal Corporation and eight municipalities in the district to coordinate with the officials on duty of JanmaBhoomi. Special control rooms have been opened at Collectorate in Eluru to coordinate and receive the problems during JanmaBhomi programme. The control room will codify the daily meeting programmes of JanmaBhoomi that going to be held in 15 Assembly constituencies.
