Tirupati: Opposition Leader and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy slammed the Telugu Desam government for not filling vacant doctor posts in AYUSH department. He assured the AYUSH employees that the YSRCP would solve their issue on priority once it voted to power in the ensuing elections in 2019.

The YSRCP chief Praja Sankalpa Padayatra entered 51st day at Chinthaparthi village in Pileru constituency. Interacting with representatives of AYUSH Para Medical Employee Association of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan blamed the TDP government for not taking any steps in filling vacant posts in AYUSH department in the state.

The paramedical employees complained to Opposition Leader that they have not been getting salary for two years. The employees said they have been appointed as para medical employees but the government stopped paying salaries as there is no doctor to treat patients.

The members of AYUSH (NRHM) Para Medical Employee Association requested Jaganmohan Reddy to fill all vacancies in AYUSH wing and ensure salaries to employees.

Earlier, Jagan visited the house of Chintala Prarthava Reddy, who passed away last night. The Opposition Leader met his children Karthik and Jayasruthi and consoled them. The cadre informed Jaganmohan Reddy that Chinthala Prarthava was a strong follower of former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy and recalled his services in strengthening the party.

He promised jobs for Karthik and Jayasruthi once his party forms government in ensuing elections. Earlier, Nagari MLA RK Roja welcomed Jagan and gave arathi to him at her native place Chinthaparthy village, Pileru constituency.

Later she accompanied Jagan in padayatra. On the way, a few Muslim people met the Jagan and brought their problems to the notice of Jagan. The women complained to Jagan that they have not been getting old age pension properly.

YSRCP Punganuru MLA Peddy Reddy Ramachandra Reddy, Rajampeta MP Mithun Reddy, Pileru MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and Bhuma Karunakar Reddy were present in padayatra.
