Advocates obstruct Public Prosecutors, Government Pleaders

Kurnool: With a demand to set up the High Court in Rayalaseema region, the advocates in large number reached the district court on Tuesday. By boycotting the court duties, lawyers have prevented the Public Prosecutors (PPs) and Government Pleaders (GPs) from entering the court.

The relay fast launched by lawyers for the High Court at Srikrishnadevaraya Circle here has entered 17th day on Tuesday. A tense situation prevailed for a while as PP Dasetty Srinivasulu was forcibly shouldered out of the court premises. A source has said that the District Judge Anupama Chakravarthy has ordered to file cases against those advocates, who obstructed the PPs and GPs.
