Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that his government would not enhance the electricity charges to industries. Addressing the May Day celebrations at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Tuesday, Naidu said the government would provide housing facility to all workers.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials to make an action plan immediately in this regard. He also appealed to the industrialists to come forward to provide housing facility to workers. He said the State government was ready to provide land for the purpose.
The Chief Minister stressed on the need for academic integration of industries and ITIs to improve the skills of students. He asked them to adopt nearby ITIs to modernise them to suit to the needs of industrial sector.
The Chief Minister said the state government spent nearly Rs 1,140 crore towards Chandranna Bima scheme to provide financial assistance to the family members of deceased employees.
He said AP stood first in ease of doing business and with the prevailing industry-friendly atmosphere, several industrialists were coming forward to invest in the State. He pointed out that during the last three Partnerships Summits, 2,785 MoUs worth of Rs 16 lakh crore were signed and 1,496 more MoUs are in an advanced stage.
The Chief Minister assured the industrialists that water facility would be provided by completing the ongoing irrigation projects. He said the industrialists should provide work for everyone in the State to establish a peaceful society.
Stating that 2.5 crore people are working in unorganised sector in the State, the Chief Minister directed the officials to strictly implement minimum wages to all the workers in the next three months. He said the welfare measures for employees should be improved.
He advised the industrialists to use technology and upgrade the skills of employees to improve production. Minister for Labour and Employment Pithani Satyanarayana said the State government has been implementing several measures for the welfare of the employees.
