EO offers silk clothes to Gangamma

TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal on Saturday evening offered silk clothes on behalf of TTD to Tataiahgunta Gangamma temple in Tirupati in connection with Gangamma Jatara which falls on May 15. Speaking on the occasion, he said, the folk Goddess Gangamma is considered as the beloved sister of Lord Venkateswara.
Tirupati: TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal on Saturday evening offered silk clothes on behalf of TTD to Tataiahgunta Gangamma temple in Tirupati in connection with Gangamma Jatara which falls on May 15. Speaking on the occasion, he said, the folk Goddess Gangamma is considered as the beloved sister of Lord Venkateswara.
And, it is a tradition which is in practice since several years, that the Lord sends sare to Goddess Gangamma for this auspicious occasion. Earlier, EO took the silk clothes from Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple and reached Gangamma temple in a celestial procession and handed over the silk clothes to the Gangamma temple Chairman Munikrishna. present.
