Participating in a program in Penukonda Assembly Constituency in Anantapur district, the chief minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not fulfill the promises made by the BJP in 2014 elections. His party was also defeated in 15 Assembly Constituencies due to alliance with BJP.

Special status has been given to 11 states in the country, he said Andhra Pradesh also deserved special status. Considering the strong plea made him, Telugu people voted against BJP in Karnataka. The TDP Chief claimed AP stood first rank in development. He dared opposition to come for an open debate on the issue. Chandrababu wondered why Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan targeted him.
