Muslim Thinkers Forum flays TDP for injustice to Muslims
Muslim Thinkers Forum (MTF) convener AM Khan Yazdani along with other MTF leaders criticized the ruling TDP for not accommodating a Muslim in the State Cabinet.
Vijayawada: Muslim Thinkers Forum (MTF) convener AM Khan Yazdani along with other MTF leaders criticized the ruling TDP for not accommodating a Muslim in the State Cabinet.
Addressing the media here on Wednesday, he said that in the last five budgets, a total of Rs 7.5 lakh crore was allocated for the state.
However, only a sum of Rs 2,500 crore was allocated to the Muslim minorities which was about 0.3 percent. He demanded that the government allocate more funds and do justice to the community.
He said that the Muslim population in the state is more than eight percent.
He alleged that for first time in the history, there was no Muslim minority minister in the State Cabinet.
He wanted the government to think of a grand project to support the Muslim community at least now and fulfill all the promises made at the time of elections.
MTF leaders Dr MA Rahman, Md Mateen, Syed Rafi, Hussain Shaik and others were present.
