Tirupati: Tirupati Assembly constituency is having 2,21,830 voters so far and changes may take place in it as the enrolment of voters is a continuous exercise. The next announcement of voters list will be on September 1, said the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) G Narasimhulu.

Speaking at a meeting held with the representatives of all political parties in Tirupati on Monday, he explained the procedure being taken up in Tirupati for the enrolment of eligible voters and removal of ineligible voters. Tirupati was having 256 polling centres but as per the guidelines of Election Commission each polling station should have 1300 voters and the existing stations will be divided accordingly.

Tirupati MLA M Suguna, Urban Tahsildar Chandramohan, AO Chandramohan, D Bhaskar Yadav (TDP), Balasubramanyam (Lok Satta), Prabhakar (BSP) and others participated and expressed their opinions. Election Deputy Tahsildars Vijaya Bhaskar, Jhansi, Lakshminarayana and Ramachandraiah took part.
