Atmakur: Former Joint Director of the CBI VV Lakshminarayana has felt that the need of hour for the country is youth with steel nerves. “The youth and farmers are very crucial for the country. The only way out for the farmer to become king is practicing organic farming,” he said.

The former IPS officer toured the Chenchu hamlets of Bairluti, Nagaluti, SR Peta, Guvvalakuntla in the Nallamala forest region near here on Wednesday. Earlier, he unveiled Swamy Vivekananda’s statue at Sri Venkateswara Degree College and later interacted with the college students.

He advised them to derive their inspiration from eminent persons like Abdul Kalam and Swami Vivekananda. Discipline, reaching the goal and health are crucial for students, he said advising them against using the technological advancements in a negative way.

Moved at the plight of the Chenchus, he said that he would take up their case with the ITDA. He was shocked at the restrictions imposed on them by the Forest department. He suggested protecting the primitive Chenchu tribes.

Lakshminarayana patted a girl belonging to SR Peta, who is working as a casual labour, but pursuing graduation. He advised her to pursue IAS and offered his full support to her. He felicitated her. He advised the people against ignoring one‘s parents, teachers and one’s alma mater. Later, he sowed seeds in an agricultural farm.
