GPL holds plantation drive
Gangavaram Port Limited GPL celebrated Vanam Manam programme here on Saturday and planted 2,500 saplings in the surrounding areas of the port premises
Visakhapatnam: Gangavaram Port Limited (GPL) celebrated Vanam Manam programme here on Saturday and planted 2,500 saplings in the surrounding areas of the port premises.
As a part of the programme, the Gangavaram Port management organised the saplings plantation near the main road and internal roads close to yard at Gajuwaka.
Chief Executive Officer of GPL N Sambasiva Rao, Director (Operations), V Janardhana Rao, Vice- President, Vigilance B Balakrishna, Director B Balakrishna and Assistant Vice President (Environment) D Jyothi participated in the programme.
“There is a strong need for sustainable development creating awareness about the environment. These initiatives will improve the quality of our life and next generations”, the officials of GPL said.
