Srikakulam: Normal life was paralysed due to rainfall on Friday in Srikakulam due to cyclone in the Bay of Bengal. As per IMD warning, more rains are likely in north coastal Andhra and Odisha on Saturday also. In this backdrop, Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy alerted all the officials concerned. He advised the fishermen not to venture into the sea for fish hunt.
The Collector directed to set up Control Rooms at mandal and division-level to monitor the situation locally and a Control Room was arranged at the Collectorate here with phone number 08942-240557 to monitor the situation and to collect information on rain and floods. District medical and health staff also been alerted in the wake of continuous rains and spread of seasonal diseases.
