Amaravati: The State government would issue a notification soon for 20,000 jobs, said Government Whip in Legislative Council Dokka Manikya Varaprasad while addressing the newsmen at the Secretariat here on Friday.
After the government was formed, 10 lakh jobs were provided in the government and private sectors during the last four years, the former minister said and added that unemployment dole would be given to 10 lakh youths soon.
The Government Whip recalled that the 43 fitments were given to the NGOs and RTC employees and honoraria for ASHA workers, Home Guards, Anganwadi workers, outsourcing employees have been increased.
Dokka said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Lokesh have been working hard to bring in more industries into the State to provide employment opportunities.
He said that it was not proper on the part of the opposition parties to criticise the Chief Minister. He lambasted the Modi government for its corrupt practices and its failure to provide 2 crore jobs every year as it had promised during the elections.
“In all, the Modi government has provided only 20 lakh jobs in four years,” he added. He appealed to the people to elect the Telugu Desam party for developing the State and to get more job opportunities to the people.
