Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) Vice- Chancellor Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu has called upon people to donate blood as it is a social responsibility of every individual.
Distributing certificates to students, who donated blood in the blood donation camp organised at varsity on Friday, the VC said the students should come forward to donate blood voluntarily to save the precious lives of people.
“The blood can be reproduced only in the body and by donating blood one can help the needy who are in danger,” he said. He also appealed to students to inculcate the habit of donating blood and motivate others in this noble cause.
The VC said the university is ready to conduct blood donation camps for the benefit of people and suggested to teaching fraternity to motivate students in this regard.
He also exhorted the students to participate in social service camps which benefits them a lot in their career. Students of all colleges in the campus donated blood under the supervision of government hospital doctors. Registrar Dr T Ashok, principal Dr K Ramesh and NSS coordinator Kiran Chandra were present.
