Ongole: “It is the Congress only that will give Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh,” reiterated the Prakasam district Congress president Eda Sudhakar Reddy.

He also announced that the Congress will offer farm loan waiver scheme in all states, within 10 days of Rahul Gandhi assumes the prime minister’s office.

On Friday, Sudhakar Reddy explained to the media about the agenda and decisions taken in the PCC meeting held in Vijayawada on August 1 and directed the local leaders about the strategy to strengthen the party in the coming days.

Sudhakar Reddy explained that they will appoint all Assembly constituency coordination committees by August 10. These committee members will be trained from August 11 to 20.

The mandal and village-level committees and 10-member booth-level committees will be appointed, trained by September 25 to strengthen the party in all aspects for the General Elections 2019.

Sudhakar Reddy said while Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu cheated Kapus in the name of reservations, YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy was escaping from it by saying that reservations were a matter of Union government.

He questioned Jaganmogan Reddy for demanding Special Category Status and implementation of the reorganization act, which were also the matters of Union government.

He announced that it was the Congress which was in favour of the Kapu reservations and it was the only party that can offer them reservation without affecting the BC reservations.

He requested the Kapus and all Andhra public to support the Congress in 2019 for the welfare of all sections.

Sripati Prakasam, Ongole town president, SN Padu in-charge V Srinu, PCC secretary M Rajasekhar, Gade Lakshmareddy and others also participated in the meeting.
