Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reiterated, while addressing the Members of Parliament through video conference from his residence at Undavalli here on Friday, that the people’s representatives should achieve what people desire.

He instructed the MPs to utilise every opportunity to fight for the benefit of the State. “People are satisfied with your struggle so far and it is high time you carried it forward to achieve the goal of state development and the welfare of the poor,” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu instructed the MPs to coordinate with the Three-member committee appointed for monitoring implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act. ``The MPs should be in touch with Kutumba Rao, Balasubrahmanyam and Premchandra Reddy,” he said.

Referring to the recent outbursts against Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan by Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy, the Chief Minister said that he was becoming restive day by day. He cited the example of his statement against Kapu reservation. “In spite of hiring consultancies (obviously referring to Prasanth Kishore team), spending hundreds of crores of rupees, his popularity has been on the wane,” he said.

Recalling that Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy did not grant Rs 10 lakh to Dalvayi Subrahmanyam Committee for conducting survey on Kapu population, Naidu said that people would not believe Jagan when he stated that he would sanction Rs 10,000 crore for the welfare of Kapu community.

Appreciating the efforts of MPs when they took the Kadapa steel factory issue to the notice of the President and the Vice-President, the CM told them to continue the same spirit regarding the rest of the 18 issues.

Expressing concern over the removal of Muslim votes from the list, he appealed to one and all to fight against it tooth and nail. ``Let’s work along with the parties like Trina Mool Congress,” he said and appealed to all the opposition parties to join hands in the struggle against the BJP. All problems could be resolved only through dialogue and we have to achieve consent of all through dialogue, he added.

TDPP leaders YS Chowdary, Thota Narasimham, MPs CM Ramesh, Galla Jayadev, Avanti Srinivasa Rao, Muralimohan, Planning Commission Vice-chairman Kutumba Rao and others participated in the video conference.
