Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna has said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has took a bold decision relating to remuneration to unemployed in the name of Mukyamantri Nestam.
According to the GUDA chairman, giving a dole of Rs 1,000 to unemployed youth per month was the first of its kind in the country and it would come into force from September 1.
Earlier, Kerala, Rajasthan, Haryana, West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh introduced the scheme and stopped after six months.
But, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was very much particular to run the scheme successfully and directed the officials to take care of the scheme.
The remuneration of Rs 1,000 would be credited into the bank accounts of unemployed youth. With this, 99 percent of promises mentioned in TDP election manifesto were fulfilled, he claimed.
